Tusonge Children Deliver Food and Hope to Hungry Neighbors

The COVID crisis is affecting Uganda, just as it is the rest of the world. But, that isn’t keeping Tusonge Children’s Ministries from finding ways to help others. Recently, the children prepared bags of food and essential items and delivered them to desperate neighbors in their community.

Here’s what Fredrick Otukuro, our Director of African Operations, said in his Facebook post:

“Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done. --Proverbs 19:17 NIV Our kids took on the neighborhood to share a little of what the Lord had blessed them with. We may not have much, but just as so many have blessed us with the little they had, we also try to learn from their beautiful hearts and do the same for others!! May God bless all our brothers and sisters and parents that supported us and made this happen. Thanks Pastor Robby Giffin and the entire church for your donation that helped the poor and starving in the name of the Lord!!!”

We are blessed and honored to witness the kindness and generosity of our Tusonge children who put aside their own struggles to help those in need in their community.

Tusonge Children’s Ministries is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that supports and educates a group of Ugandan children who came to the U.S. as part of a children’s choir in 2014. That organization disbanded, so we created Tusonge (Moving Forward in the language of Uganda) to make sure the original 20 choir children received an education, housing, medical care and other support they need to lead a productive life. Today we have grown to 41 children.
