Thanks to the success and integrity we have established with Tusonge Children’s Ministries, we have been invited to become a chapter of the highly renowned People to People International (PTPI) (www.PTPI.org) organization, founded by former U.S. President Dwight Eisenhower and now run by his granddaughter, Mary Jean Eisenhower.
People to People is headquartered in Kansas City, MO. It has established hundreds of community and student chapters around the world, including three in Uganda. Tusonge Children formed one of Uganda's latest PTPI Student Chapters. The children are excited to become part of this organization. The officers pictured below are Olivia, Luke, Fred and Mary signing the chapter organization papers.
PTPI’s mission is to enhance international understanding and friendship through educational, cultural, and humanitarian activities involving the exchange of ideas and experiences directly among peoples of different countries and diverse cultures. Its programs include:
· Youth scholarships
· Global school and classroom connections
· Humanitarian, cultural and educational travel missions
· Global Youth Forums
· Peace camps and more.
We believe this partnership will open many new doors for us as we remain fully dedicated to helping our wonderful Tusonge children and supporting Fredrick and Trudy.
